Todd and Shawna Sone

Yom Huledet Sameach, Pinny. Shawna and I are so happy to have become friends with you and Dini.  People often get down when they turn 40, seeing only the negative side of reaching middle age. I say ignore the negatives and focus on the positives, such as:

-          Being 40 means that you are now allowed to study Kabbalah in a chevrutah with Madonna!
-          Being 40 means that you only have to wait another 25 more years until you are eligible for a senior discount at the movies!
-          Being 40 means that you have lived 1/3 of your life! and all of it without ever knowing what life was like without a State of Israel!
-          Being 40 means that your children are growing up and getting ready to bless you with even more naches!

B’vracha my friend,

Todd Sone

Pinny,

Psshhhhhhhhh……you are finally 40… and on The Rebbe’s birthday no less! That makes you even cooler than you already are.   I am the last person who can explain to you the insight that turning 40 is supposedly going to allow you to gain.  To me you are already wise beyond your years and I can’t imagine what more you can possibly cram into that crazy brain of yours.  Your achievements in business are well known, but they are overshadowed by what you have accomplished with regards to your family and your community.  You are a loving, devoted father and husband.  A leader in your community and an awesome friend.  Hashem did something right with you my friend and I am proud to somehow be a part of your life.

Jill, the kids and I wish you an incredible 40th birthday.  Biz hundert und zwanzig!

40... so Pinny, how long have I known you?
7 years.
Through Jesse's Bar Mitzvah the chain of life brings us together.
I will always remember you from the beginning of our relationship
as someone who thinks 'outside the box'.
After all, I was not brought up to expect a group of Bar Mitzvah students to be on a bike trip and picnic
in preparation for their bar Mitzvah, but that was exactly what you organized.
You made the process of the Bar Mitzvah one which was literally full of life.
And that is the metaphor by which you live and teach others to live their lives.
To enjoy everything in every way and to teach this to me and all of us subliminally,
and with charm and fun, is a blessing we are all fortunate to experience.
I love you Pinny.
I love your family and in every sense of the meaning,
MAZEL TOV to you and all who know you.
Love,

Jimmy

Wow Pinny your hitting the big 40 KA"H.

I tell you, every year I see you at the Kinus I can't help but think that you are NOT aging.  B"H.  May you continue to feel/look young and be healthy for many years to come.

Just to reminise for a bit.  I remember well the cool/hot summer nights in CGI Montreal '91 Masmidim, the long walks we would take talking, most of the time I DID understand you.  You would talk about the Tanya and how much it influenced your life.  Those talks really did something for me and my appreciation of the Tanya.  Man you were a great counselor!  We had so much fun together and so many good memories.  We used to walk from the Masmidim Zal to section C back and forth.  How about that 3 day canoe camping trip? I will never forget that one. I can't tell you how many people I know from all over who seem to forget their friends after just a few short years or just after we leave camp!  You on the other hand have always been so friendly, I want your kids to hear this and grow to follow your lead.  I was hoping to find some old pictures I have of you and really embarrass you, but alas I have yet to find the right album.  I just want to say that I'm very happy that you have a family as I can recall one time in the lunch room we were fighting and I thought for a moment there that I ended your family tree... so B"H.

Happy Birthday and Shnas Hatzlacha B'Gur I loved seeing you on YouTube by the way.  Thanks for being so generous in your help for our Raffles.

Happy Birthday bro!

Fagy Rubenfeld

Hi Pinny  sheyichye
is it possible that your daughter is actually planning a 40th b'day for you?
how is that possible ???. I am just about 40 myself.. oh that was yesterday.. I forgot..
I still recall you standing in the kitchen at the Ganzbourg lichayim
and you telling me that you just got smicha
- that you are a Rabbi now all you need was to find your Rebbetzin to which I responded hat you were standing in the right intersection..
and that is when the Dini Kahan idea entered my brain..
of course we know it was all predestined.. even before you were born..
but Hashem puts these wonderful ideas into the heads of those He allows as His assistants. It is always a zchus.
So mazal tov mazal tov.. many happy returns of the day..
much continued success in all that you do!!!
Fagy Rubenfeld.

Mazel tov Pinny, May you have many many wonderful and happy and healthy and prosperous years together with all of us and may your family bring you much joy and naches.
